Hello Penny McManigal,
Thanks for your reply to my query about Weaving the Dream. My name is
Phyllis Free. In celebration of Earth Day, EarthHeart Ensemble (John Gage
and Phyllis Free) performed for and with hundreds of elementary school
children in school assembly programs during Earth Day week. Other
performances included the Earth Day celebration at Louisville Zoo and a
performance at Mammoth Cave National Park visitors center as part of their
annual Springfest celebration. In all performances, audiences participate
by singing and doing motions to songs which focus on living in peace and
harmony with each other and the Earth.
You are welcome to post my message on the website.
I don't have any direct contact for the Folklife Festival in DC. However,
you might try contacting jonkay@hotmail.com (my friend and fellow musician
who is a coordinator of Folklife Education for the state of FL) to see if
he can give you any leads. Best of luck with that.
I visited your website and enjoyed seeing your artwork. I'll tell others
to check it out. I'm still something of a novice regarding web travel and
wasn't sure what to do to post or view messages on the message board.
Please advise when you have a chance. Keep up the great/important work. I
look forward to learning about what other artists are doing so I have
subscribed to your mailing list for now.
