Dear Co-Collaborators,

Let me introduce myself...

My name is Barry Sultanoff. I am a friend of, and collaborator with, Penny McManigal. I have walked the "Imagine Weaving the Dream" trail with her for a couple years now, both as visionary and on-site builder of the structure itself. I have assisted Penny at both Healing Summits....last October's in Monterey, CA, and the recent August meeting in Glastonbury.

I am a physician (M.D.) who believes that "health" is the "natural expression of a thriving planetary community." It is that attitude that has led me to "play" in arenas such as "Weaving the Dream". I care deeply about the health and well-being of our planetary community!

Penny is a soul-sister of mine. I have long been in love with her art work, some of which adorns my home. I resonate deeply with her vision. Penny's dream is my dream, too! We have presented together at both Healing Summits on the topic of "Artist as Healer, Healer as Artist". And we have shared the joy of "The Weave" on those two occasions.

On both occasions, I have experienced the group's coming together in unity through its particiption in "The Weave". There is a unity forged that is palpable. I have watched many touching vignettes.....celebrants (I like using the word "celebrant" to describe "The Weave" participants) choosing a particular object or piece of cloth, tying it lovingly into place.....celebrants helping one another, being touched in their own ways.

For me it is quite a "zen" experience. The quality of mindfulness is very pronounced, the air rarefied. I feel deeply moved again and again by the care that I see celebrants take in choosing just the place, just the right moment in which to make their contributions to the whole. I have watched them tie their pieces into place with great conviction.

What kind of world might we have if each of us were to do our part in the Great Weave of humanity with such care, such devotion?
That question excites me....and brings tears of joy and longing from the wellspring of my heart.

May Peace Prevail on Earth!
Barry Sultanoff
