Thank you for asking if you might honor the "Weaving The Dream!" ritual somehow when you travel to the Amazon on October 24th! Yes, what a wonderful idea!
I suggest that you take some balls of string, some thin ribbons and/or some colorful yarn, all of which are both light weight and compact for your canoe trip and travel by foot.
Once you are actually in the Amazon you could:
1.) Make a small circle out of branches or twigs from trees which you have put SECURELY into the earth. (We did this in the sand on Monterey, CA in 1997).
2.) Connect all of the twigs, or branches, with long pieces of string (like the volleyball net we used in England)...tied around each wooden twig (or branch) "peace pole".
3.) Connect a series of vertical lines of string (the number of strings depending on the size of your circle), making a net for your future "weaving".
4.) Add a taller twig or branch to the center of the sacred circle and then top it with something special! Add whatever you like to its base as well.
5.) Top the other twigs or branches with small pieces of cloth, leaves, etc. (like pennants or prayer flags). You might take some rubber bands for securing them.
6.) Invite each of the participants to add something to your shared Sacred Circle of "Weaving the Dream!" (thus all becoming Dream Weavers and interconnecting with this "unified planetary field of dreams")
7.) Create a simple ceremony to accompany the ritual of "The Weaving" (song, dance, or prayers, etc.)
9.) Hopefully take some pictures which you will share with me to post on our Weave website after you have returned!
Blessings to you. Looking forward to hearing about the results after you return!
